AI Image Detector

Scan an image for signals that it was generated by AI. This tool checks EXIF software fields, XMP metadata, JUMBF/C2PA markers, and known AI prompt patterns in the file. Fast, private, and runs in your browser — but read the accuracy note below.

Accuracy disclaimer

This tool detects metadata-based AI signals only. It cannot detect AI images that have had their metadata stripped (including with the Calabi Sanitizer). Detecting AI content from pixels alone requires ML classifiers running on a server — this tool deliberately avoids uploading your image. A "no signals found" result does not mean the image is real. For deeper analysis, use a classifier service like Hive Moderation or Illuminarty.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image.
  2. The tool checks EXIF, XMP, and binary metadata for AI tool signatures.
  3. Results show a verdict, confidence level, and list of evidence found.
