DigitalSourceType is an XMP/IPTC metadata field that records how a piece of media was produced. The value trainedAlgorithmicMedia is the standard tag meaning the content was generated by a trained AI model. Image and video generators such as Sora, Stable Diffusion and Midjourney’s newer exports write it into the file, and it is usually the first field a platform’s scanner checks. Because it is a hidden text field in the metadata, not something visible in the picture, cropping or screenshotting won’t remove it — you have to wipe the XMP block. Calabi strips this flag along with C2PA and generator tags.
